“Music is a world within itself with a language we all understand.”
Stevie Wonder
At Herne Infant School, it is our intent that music is embedded in to the school life of every child in order to create a strong community and family feel. Children experience music, singing and dancing every day to bring us together as a school community during worship time and within our classrooms. Children are given the opportunity to express themselves and be creative through being taught key skills and being free to explore and play a range of instruments. Music teaching should engage and inspire children to develop a love of music and therefore increase their creativity, self-confidence and sense of achievement.
