Once again we were pleased to see many applications for our clubs.
As a direct result of last terms’ popularity, Miss Richards is continuing with Yoga. The calm and lively sections of the sessions are both equally enjoyed by the children.
At lunch time the children love to play handball, so Mr James from Premier Sport has agreed to run a club so the children have the opportunity to advance their skills further.
Bob Bolder from Charlton Athletic Community Trust will be playing cricket and football during the week as the weather should enable the children to be outside and use the open space which allows more freedom to expand their games.
Mrs Beech’s Speedstacking club is now so popular that it has been oversubscribed again! The inter-club competitions are such fun and the children are making huge progress with their stacking routines.
The basketball sessions at Herne Bay High School have continued with only one child applying this time. There are sure to be more taking up the offer as the term progresses. Mr Steele (former Director of Sport at HBH) is a brilliant coach and the children make great progress.
Also repeated this term due to its popularity is Streetdance so the children have the chance to learn routines and hopefully perform to the parents at the end of the term.
Thank you once again to the parents who join us in encouraging the children on their journey to a lifelong love of being active.
