This term we received more than 150 requests for places on the seven clubs we are able to offer. This is a massive indication of the commitment our parents and children have to leading healthy, active lives.
Miss Richards continues to lead Yoga each Wednesday. As this so popular within the curriculum, the children are keen to continue after hours. They will definitely enjoy the relaxation part over the coming weeks.
Premier Sport are repeating the archery club due to popular demand. Mr James is now our established coach who helps the children to get the most out of the sessions in a fun and interesting way.
Bob Bolder from Charlton Athletic Community Trust is running a new club this term – multi-sports which will be outside. He also continues our ever-popular football club.
Mrs Beech still loves the Speedstacking club so much that she is continuing. The membership has risen so much that we are oversubscribed again.
The basketball sessions at Herne Bay High School have continued with only one child applying this time. There are sure to be more taking up the offer as the term progresses. Mr Steele (former Director of Sport at HBH) is a brilliant coach and the children make great progress.
Also new this term is a fantastic offer from Herne Bay High School of some street dance sessions. This club was oversubscribed by 4 times the number of children that we can allow! As a result, we are negotiating with HBH School for future opportunities so that all the children can benefit from this offer.
