This term we are able to offer a new club with Miss Richards leading Yoga each Wednesday. This is such a popular part of our PE lessons that the children have been asking for a Yoga club and Miss Richards has been kind enough to agree to run it. They are sure to enjoy their sessions over the coming weeks.
Premier Sport are running an archery club (or bow and arrow club as the children like to call it) which has appealed to many children in the past. Mr James is an excellent coach who helps the children to get the most out of the sessions in a fun and interesting way.
Bob Bolder from Charlton Athletic Community Trust is running a hockey club which again has proved to be popular. He also continues our football club.
Mrs Beech loves our Speedstacking club so much that she is continuing and we hope to invite other schools to us for a little competition later in the year. After the success of the inter-school term 2 competition, the club was oversubscribed this term.
The basketball sessions at Herne Bay High School have continued with six children now attending which is a big increase. Mr Steele (former Director of Sport at HBH) is a brilliant coach and the children make great progress.
Mrs March is continuing with the ever popular healthy eating club for Year 2. This is such an interesting club as the children learn about how to prepare healthy snacks as well as the nutritional aspects of staying healthy.
