Children from schools across Herne Bay and Whitstable, with the help and guidance of their art and music leads, have collaborated to create an incredible exhibition at the Horsebridge Gallery, Whitstable.
The theme of 'Blue Planet' was inspired by Sir David Attenborough and the BBC documentary of the same name. Children from Herne Infants created Jellyfish made from plastic and other debris that can be found in the sea. This highlights the wildlife such as turtles who are dying because they are unable to distinguish between a jellyfish and a plastic bag. Special thanks to Mrs Minter and Miss Kingsman for organising this in school and working collaboratively with CACoT (Coastal Alliance Co-operative Trust) colleagues. This is a very important topic for our children and we encourage you to explore the exhibition and the interactive elements which challenge each of us about the future of our world. The Exhibition runs from January 31st to February 12th 2019.
