Not only is Windmill Nursery part of the Herne C.E Infant and Nursery School family, but part of the wider Herne Bay and Canterbury community too.
Take a look at some of the local events we have been part of!
Along with the rest of the school, we designed and made our own scarecrow as part of the Scarecrow Trail at Westgate Gardens in Canterbury. We named him Windy and were thrilled to hear he came second in the competition! Doesn’t he look friendly!
Whilst learning about Lent and making pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, the Nursery and Early Years Team led us to victory by coming first in our annual school pancake race! Flip flip hooray!
To help Herne Bay Library celebrate Elmer Day, we decorated a large Elmer the Elephant picture using the colours of the rainbow. We took him to the library and he was displayed in the children’s area with other Elmer’s from other Nurseries across the area. Did you see him?
